Ray Kite - Chairman

Ray KiteRay Kite (Chairman) started his career more than half a century ago in 1957 with Sir William Garthwaites which was eventually taken over by Alexander Howden Insurance Brokers where he became Managing Director of a large and successful Marine and Energy Division.  When he left Howdens in 1992 to join Johnson & Higgins, Ray assumed responsibility for the whole of the London operation of Johnson & Higgins as a Joint Managing Director.  Marsh took over J&H in 1997 and Ray became Deputy Chairman of Marsh & McLennan Marine & Energy Ltd.  His final professional challenge was the formation in 1999, with Mark Warren and Tom Wilson, of KWW, where, in addition to his role as
Chairman, he is still engaged in all classes of Marine business, especially Hull & Machinery, P&I and Liability.
